About Me
Hello world! My name is Heather and this is my WoG Blog. I chose World of Grey for my blog because, well, we live in a pretty grey world. Few things are absolute and this is the place I’ll be talking about all those shades of grey (and greyhounds) that I encounter in daily life.
I share my life with 17 retired racing greyhounds and, anyone who knows me will tell you that they are my world. In addition to being a hound servant, I’m married to a the world’s best husband, Ken. You can read his blog here…We’ve carved out a pretty great life here in SC with our aforementioned retired racing greyhounds…plus a staghound, 4 cats and 2 bunny rabbits just to keep things interesting.
I graduated from East Carolina University in 1998 (wow, that’s a long time ago!) with a degree in Psychology. I’m also a proud member of Delta Zeta Sorority (though I’ve been a pretty lame alum…I need to do something about that!). After college, I found my way to greyhounds and have been involved with them on every level of adoption, ownership and finally as a racing owner. I also love to do lure coursing with a few of our retired pups.
