My name is Heather&#8230;Wife, mom, pet owner, daughter, sister, worker bee, home owner, voter&#8230;on and on. Just living each day, remembering to be thankful for what I have and trying to make sense of this world I live in. This is my corner of the interwebs where I mostly store the recipes so I can reference them when I need to or share them with folks. The random non-recipe post may sneak its way in from time to time.<\/p>\n<p>Why world of grey? Well, originally this was a blog for our life with greyhounds. At one point we had 21 as pets and a few others in our kennel waiting for adoption groups to have space. Then natural attrition happened, kids happened and life with greyhounds is on hold until they are older. But I held on to the domain because one thing I&#8217;ve learned is that very few things in life are truly black and white. We live in a world with many shades of grey &#8211; where one choice vs another isn&#8217;t necessarily right or wrong, and what&#8217;s better or worse can change in the blink of an eye. Trying to live in a black and white world can drive you insane and force people to block you from their Facebook feed (you know who you are).<\/p>\n<p>Accepting life&#8217;s shades of grey &#8211; be they the literal grey hair on your head or the juice they occasionally serve your toddler at daycare (even though she&#8217;s on the &#8220;no juice&#8221; list!!) &#8211; can help you focus on what&#8217;s truly important.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/worldofgrey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/me-and-munchie.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-152\" src=\"http:\/\/worldofgrey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/me-and-munchie.jpg\" alt=\"me and munchie\" width=\"500\" height=\"362\" srcset=\"http:\/\/worldofgrey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/me-and-munchie.jpg 500w, http:\/\/worldofgrey.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/me-and-munchie-300x217.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello world!
